Arran Energy Ltd (Arran Woodfuels parent company) are ready to specify, supply and install a wide range of biomass heating equipment to homes and businesses on Arran. All equipment supplied is guaranteed to be compatible with the biomass woodfuels supplied by us. Arran Energy Ltd also undertake to supply & install all equipment in accordance with the requirements of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), ensuring all customer qualify for capital grant funding assistance. We can also provide help and guidance on applications for grants and interest-free loans as well as funding on business installations. The following financial incentive schemes are curently in operation : Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)If you have recently installed, or are thinking about installing, a renewable, low carbon, heat technology wood-fuelled boiler then you will be eligible for the Government’s new Renewable Heat Incentive set to launch in June 2011. Read more about the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme CARES stands for Community and Renewable Energy Scheme and Community Energy Scotland have been awarded the contract to deliver CARES across the whole of Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government. The scheme can offer grants of up to £150K for a wide variety of community renewable energy projects. CARES offers grants to a range of community organisations to help with the installation of a variety of renewable energy technologies. Communities may apply for funding for technical assistance and capital grants for renewable energy equipment installation and associated costs. Under CARES there is no set grant funding. The amount of funding awarded is determined on a case by case basis. All legally constituted, non-profit distributing community organisations are eligible to apply. Such organisations may include (but are not restricted to): Energy Saving Scotland - Small Business Loan The scheme is aimed at Scottish businesses that fall within the EC definition of Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME), private sector landlords, not-for-profit organisations and charities. However, businesses operating in the fisheries sector do not qualify. |
